We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2023, at the age of 98, Gretchen Webster Briggs of Graham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Hulon Briggs; her parents, Lucille Webster and Monroe Webster; and her brothers, Hulon, Aubrey and Gene Webster.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Briggs (David Scott Cowan) of East Sussex, England, Lynn Briggs of Mebane and Oscar Briggs Jr. of Graham; and her grandchildren, Caitlin Briggs and Alexander Cowan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Library Ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Graham, 303 N. Main Street, Graham, NC 27253.
