He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Hiawatha Pierce Sr. and Viola Artis Pierce; his wife Edna Jeffries Pierce; and his siblings, Alexander, James, Joseph, Daisy Bell, Christopher, Hiawatha Jr. and Rebecca.
He is survived by: his sister Ella Pierce Johnson (Thomas Sr.); and his daughters, Wilhelmina Pierce and Pamela P. Misiura (Jack). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
