George Hurdle Oakley Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Hurdle Oakley of Graham, North Carolina, who passed away on December 25, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Oakley and Elizabeth Hurdle Oakley; and his siblings, Byron Oakley and Dottee Oakley. He is survived by: his wife Carol Kallam; his children, Rick Oakley of Wilmington, Chad Oakley of Graham and Julie Angel Sanburn (Mike) of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Maddux and Mia Elaine Sanburn.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Rich & Thompson Chapel (207 E Elm St, Graham, NC 27253). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Burlington Civitan Club at PO Box 568, Burlington, NC 27216, an organization that held a special place in George's heart.
