She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Marsters and Elizabeth Marsters. She is survived by: her husband Philip E. Dechene; her children, Barbara Hill (William Jr.), Cindy Latimer (Thomas), David Dechene (Sonja) and Paul Dechene (Debbie); her grandchildren, Jennyffer Menzie, Audrey Weatherwax, William Hill III, Erin Latimer, Madison Dechene and Justin Bloodworth; her great grandchildren, Damien and Ashara; and her brother Ted Marsters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell or The Wounded Warrior Project.
