He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Norris Howell; his parents, Daniel Rucker Howell and Dora Brammer Howell; and his siblings, Lillie Bell Wyrick, Carlene Denham, Goldie Howell and Allen Howell.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa H. Jones (John) of Johnson County, NC and Danny Howell (Penny) of Burlington; and his siblings, David Howell (Mary Ann) of Burlington, Ralph William Howell (Judy) of Burlington and Elizabeth Ann Barker (Charles) of Florida. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
