He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Gay (Michael) of High Point and Barbara Woodard (Troy) of Burlington; his grandchildren, David Swink of Apex, Adam Swink (Tonya) of Burlington, Anna Retzlaff (Jeremiah) of Raleigh and Ellen Recchion (Jordan) of Wilmington; and his stepgrandchildren, Caitlin McDevitt (Jordan) of Raleigh and Wil Woodard of Graham.
