She was predeceased by: her husband John Daniel Ayers, Sr.; her parents, Jesse Sanford McBride and Ossie Mae Perry McBride; and her siblings, Lindsey McBride, Donald McBride, Catherine Eiben, Alice Small and Shirley Lee.
She is survived by: her children, John Daniel Ayers, Jr. and Diane Ayers Johnston (Jes Ray Johnston, III) of Leesburg, VA; her grandchildren, Jessica Johnston Chernega (Jimmy) and Brad Ayers Johnston (Erika); and her great grandchildren, Jack Johnston, Hannah Johnston and Jay Chernega. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
