She was predeceased by: her father Robert Thomas Eagan; her husband Ervin Paul Carter; and her son Allen Paul Carter. She is survived by: her children, Joy Lorraine Carter Cooper, Robert Earl Carter and John Thomas Carter; her grandson Thomas Leroy Cooper Jr.; and her siblings, Charles Eagan and Betty Ann Eagan. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness and Research.
