It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorene Motley Haynes of Graham, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice Dillard Haynes; her parents, Gus Pruden Motley and Nannie Pierce Motley; and her great grandchild Hudson Orr. She is survived by: her children, Patricia H. Orr (Sam), Phyllis Haynes and Randy Haynes (Janelle); her grandchildren, Marcus Orr (Lauren), Kevin Orr (Briana), Joshua Haynes (Lucy) and Christina Doss (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Emily Orr, Samuel Orr, Katie Orr, Noah Orr, Parker Haynes, Angelo Naranjo, Genesis Haynes, Gideon Haynes and Haven Haynes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Andrews Memorial Baptist Church, 301 West Elm Street, Graham, North Carolina 27253 and/or North Graham Baptist Church, 721 Washington Street, Graham, North Carolina 27253.
