He is survived by: his sons, Charles "Charlie" Pennington (Kim Whitfield), Gary Pennington (Margo) and Jared "Precious" Pennington; his grandchildren, Kassidy Pennington, Donavan Pennington (Angelia), Briana Pennington (Brandon Vestal) and Kierra Pennington; his great grandchildren, Mia Pennington and Kendall Vestal; and the mothers of children, Myrtle Pennington and Katie Pennington Fields.
