He is survived by: his wife Bessie Brooks; his children, Kristy (Jason Lashley), Chris (Denise Lunsford), Cory Lunsford and Tonia (Mark Caldwell); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nick Cecil, Troy Lunsford, Ava Lashley and Olivia Lashley; his great grandchild Aubrey Cecil; and his sister Dee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell.
