He is survived by: his wife Joyce Johnson Newton; his sons, Seth Newton (Angie) and Philip Newton; his grandchildren, Colton Newton, Brooke Newton, Meredith Newton, Caroline Newton and Luke Newton; and his sister Phyllis Gumm.
