He is survived by: his spouse Gail Olivia Thacker (Lib); his parent Agnes Boggs Thacker; his children, Nancy (Marty Bean) of Mebane and Daniel (Lynnette) of Mebane; and his grandchildren, Katie Johnson (Kyle), Erin-Ashley Huffman (Andy) and Charles Ross. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Rev. William Thomas Thacker and wife Rita of Tampa, Florida; and his ever faithful canine companion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, an animal shelter or to a charity of the donor's choice.
