With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrie Stanford Thompson of Graham, North Carolina, born in Saxapahaw, North Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Alexander Stanford, Sr. and Zona Dodson Stanford; her spouse Russell K. Thompson, Sr.; her children, Caroline T. Davis (Kent) of Graham and Russell K. Thompson, Jr. (Karen) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Kristen D. Yount, Kimberly D. Fisher (Brandon), Adam H. Thompson (Lauren) and Sara Kathryn Gazda (Ben); her great grandchildren, Baylee Fisher, Abby Yount, Nick Yount, Alex Yount and William Russell Thompson; and her sister Nancy S. Bare. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
