He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wofford and Laura Meeks Nash; his siblings, Jeanie Whitworth, Louise Jones, Ruth Freeman, Edith Gibson, Ed Nash, W. L. "Dub" Nash, Bill Nash and Tommy Nash; his spouse Shen Hsiao Wan; his children, John Kuo (Vivian), Debra Welsh (David), Amy Newberry (James) of Raleigh and David Nash of Raleigh; his former spouse Jamie McPherson; and his daughters, Carol McArthur of Snow Camp and Cheryl Gerringer (Simon) of Snow Camp. He was also cherished by the children named above, fifteen grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.
