She was predeceased by: her parents, Byrd Matlock and Mary Lee Garrison Barker; her granddaughter Angela Cates; and her brother Garland Barker. She is survived by: her husband Robert William Dyer; her children, Teresa Lynn Dyer of Burlington, Lori Dyer (John Heise) of Haw River and Robert Alan Dyer (Theresa) of Mebane; her grandchildren, Susan Mullis (Greg), Stephanie Allen (Brian), April Dyer, Jason Cates (Austi), Kevin Maness and Robert Durham; and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Caison, Emmeline and Daxton. She is also survived by the three children God gave her, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Free Ministries.
