He was predeceased by: his spouse Hilda Quakenbush Hodgin; his parents, George Rufus Hodgin and Loda Johnson Hodgin; his daughter Cynthia Ellen Hodgin Roberts; his grandchild Kelly Victoria Hunter; and his brother Bernard Hodgin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Gartrell (Rob) of Venice, FL, Amy Hodgin of Graham, Tammy Kernodle (Darrell) of Graham, Angelia London (Clay) of Burlington and Tina Patterson (Glenn) of Graham; his son-in-law Chuck Roberts (Linda); and his grandchildren, Nile Roberts (Cassie), Chad Roberts (Angela), Nikki Roberts Jacobs, Andy Murphy (Kelly), Kyle Murphy, Amber Kernodle Strunk (Kyle), Clint Kernodle (Michelle) and Erin Melton (Tripp). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
