It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lionel Gilliland of Goldston, North Carolina, who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Gilliland and Alice Hilliard Gilliland; his wife Camilla R. Gilliland; and his siblings, Vivian Petty and Ronald Gilliland.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Denkins (Bruce) of Goldston and Susan Denise (Forrest) of Fuquay-Varina; his brother J. B. Gilliland (Jackie) of Goldston; his grandchildren, Jake and Elizabeth Denise; and his stepgrandson Brian Denkins.
