She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Earl Caviness and Pauline Spivey Caviness; her husbands, Malcolm Rufus Carroll and John Wayne Jacobs; her son Bradley Rufus Carroll; her brother William Robert Caviness; and her brother-in-law Fletcher Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Carroll (Sylvia Jean Watson) of Gulf, NC, Melvin Scott Carroll (Eratta) of Lake Charles, LA and Robin Carroll Smyth of Lillington, NC; her sister Juanita Phillips of Sanford; her uncle Raymond Shackelford of Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Danyell Lewis (Steven), Bradley Carroll, Toni Carroll (James), Candice Liverman, Brandon Carroll (Jasmine), Tyler Liverman (Casi) and Christopher Carroll II. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and many special cousins.
