She was predeceased by: her parents, William McKinley Dowdy and Wilma Jane Dowdy Thompson; her significant other William Z. Turman of Albany, GA; her daughter Darlene; her siblings, William, Jackie and Billie; and her grandson Ray.
She is survived by: her stepfather Edgar Thompson; her children, Darrell, Dennis and Derric Turman; and her grandchildren, Christina, Kathleen (Andrew) and Charles. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
