He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Matheny and Sue Chapman Franklin; and his sister Suzanne F. Godshall (Ronnie). He is survived by: his wife Faye Strickland Franklin; his children, Renee Wells McDonald and William Penman "Will" Franklin, Jr. (Karen); his grandchildren, Kylie Blackwell McDonald, Walker Penman McDonald, Dustin William Franklin, Caroline Nicole Franklin and Bailey Grace Franklin; and his niece Cathy Godshall.
