He is survived by: his son Jason Gooding (Angie); his siblings, Esther Grant (family: Helen Kermon) and Durwood Gooding; his nephews, John Steven Roberts (Tammie), Robert Roberts (Jennifer), Christopher Grant, Bryan Grant and Freddie Gooding; his niece Jennifer Kidder; and his niece-in-law Sandra Grant.
