He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Knight and Channie Kornegay Knight. He is survived by: his wife Dora Mae Knight; and his children, William Knight Jr., Elliott McDuffie, Shantelle Knight and Eboli Shantelle "El" Brown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
