He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Newcomb and Ruth Britt Newcomb; his wife Betsy Brantham Newcomb; and his brothers, J. W. Newcomb and Leon Newcomb.
He is survived by: his sons, Anthony Newcomb (Dina) and Joe Newcomb (Christi); his grandchildren, Makayla, Joshua, Reagan and Katie; his sisters, Louise Jinnette and Mary Toler; and his close friend Margaret Elliott. He is also survived by his sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Newcomb Family Cemetery (333 Jerusalem Church Rd, Seven Springs, NC 28578).
