He is survived by: his wife Anne York Jernigan; his sons, Troy Jernigan, Jr. (Karri Jo) of Calypso and Eric Todd Jernigan of Pikeville; his siblings, Ruby Corlew of Goldsboro, Carolyn Fields of Goldsboro and Allen Sills of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, LizieGrace Jernigan, Troy Edwin Jernigan, III and Eli Jernigan.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wayne Memorial Park (2925 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Troy's memory to Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church, 3302 North Hwy. 111, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
