As Samuel departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Samuel may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Samuel leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Ray and Effie Graves Strider. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Parsons Strider; his daughters, Ellen Samuel (Fred) of Asheboro and Eleanor Wade (James) of Mayodan; his sister Betty Cross of Asheboro; his granddaughter Nicole Gibson of Troy; and his great grandchildren, Daylen Thomas and Wyatt Freeman.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333).
