With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rudolph Richardson of Goldsboro, North Carolina, born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on February 27, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vertis Richardson and Sarah Greene-Richardson; his grandsons, Christopher Richardson, Kenneth Martin Forte, Jr. and Torres Richardson; and his siblings, David Richardson, Ruth Richardson and Doris Atkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Richardson; his children, Ann Coles (Isaac) of Kenbridge, Brenda Reid (Mike) of South Jordan, Joyce Richardson-Best (Samuel) of Wilson, Rudolph Richardson, Jr. (Cynthina) of Wilson, Linda Artis (Charles) of Selma, Tony Richardson of Kenly and Debbie Bunn (Jack) of Wilson; his stepchildren, O'Linda Harris (Robert) of Temple Hills, Melody Gilcreast (Michael) of Apopka, Florida and Vernon Sutton; his siblings, Ray Richardson (Sanibell), Edna Durham, Glenda Mackintosh, Vernell Smith and Brenda Sharpe; and his sisters-in-law, Wanda Forsythe, Joyal Newkirk (Jerome) and Angeline Wilder (Mack). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren.
