She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ward and Essie Eatmon Ward; her husband David Rayner; her son Alonzo; and her siblings, Lula Ward Forte and Willie Lee Ward.

She is survived by: her sons, William David Rayner of Dumfries, VA and Alexander Rayner of Cleveland, TN; her sister Mamie Ward Newsome of Smithfield, NC; her grandchildren, Aloni, David Alonzo of Goldsboro, Danielle, Marcus of Dumfries, Jocelyn and Elijah of Cleveland, TN; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sierra and Zella; her grandchildren, Jasmine, Sherrie and Tiana of Goldsboro; and her siblings-in-law, Frank Rayner (Collene) of Burlington, NC, Ada Taylor of Micro, NC, Clara Robinson (Richard) of Jeffersonville, IN and Betty Hallis (Larry) of Parkville, MC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
