He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Lee and Christine Lewis Kornegay; his wife Sharron Wilder Kornegay; his son Robert Lee Kornegay Jr. (Regina) of Dudley; his brothers, Sylvester Kornegay of Goldsboro and King David Kornegay (Eldress Margaret Kornegay) of Goldsboro; his stepmother Eldress Ora Kornegay of Goldsboro; his sister-in-law Lyvone Wallace (Terry Wallace) of Greenville; his granddaughter Lavonya Rich of Dudley; and also Ashley Lyvone Wallace of Maryland.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
