She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Groves Marsh and Virginia Cuthrell Marsh; her husband Patrick Henry Sasser; her daughter Virginia Sasser DeLacey; and her sister Virginia Marsh Arey.
She is survived by: her sons, Patrick Henry Sasser, Jr. (Lyndia Braswell Sasser) and William Marsh Sasser; her grandchildren, John Patrick DeLacey (Sarah Kirk DeLacey), Virginia DeLacey Lewinsky (Joseph Peter Lewinsky), Patricia McCoy DeLacey, Patrick Bailey Sasser (Cameron Taylor Sasser) and Gray Lanier Sasser (Rebecca Edmondson Sasser); and her great grandchildren, Cora Annette DeLacey, Henry Colson Sasser and Bridget Sasser DeLacey.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (200 N James St, Goldsboro, NC 27533). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the St. Stephen's Church (200 N James St, Goldsboro, NC 27533).
