She is survived by: her husband James Strickland; her daughter Nan Ackerman (Mark) of Apex; her stepchildren, Lisa Pope (Charles) of Raleigh, Albert Strickland (Donna) of Goldsboro and Edward Strickland (Frances) of Sanford; her brother Kenneth Braswell (Joyce) of Raleigh; her sister-in-law Myrtle Braswell of Salisbury; her pet Smokey; and her friend Nancy Summerlin. She is also survived by 11 step grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
