She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ray and Pearl Atkins Wade of Goldsboro; her husband William Barbee; and her siblings, James, Harry, Hiram, Milton, Francis, Louise and Hilda.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Barbee Wells of Orange City, FL, William Ray Barbee (Bonnie) of Elm City, NC, Timothy Lee Barbee (Paula) of Victoria and James Millard Barbee of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Cindy Wells Marshall (Scot), Rob Wells, Kim Wells, Bill Barbee, Randal Barbee (Katie), Andrew Hutchinson (Alli), Anna-Catherine Barbee, Addison Barbee and Mahana Mathi-Taniori; her great grandchildren, Sierra Wells, Neveah Barbee, Rylee Barbee, Morgan Barbee, Gabriella Barbee, Payton Barbee, Matthew Marshall, Meredith Marshall, Carter Rodriguez, Hunter Rodriguez, Darin Neho and Lahana Neho; her great great grandchildren, Matthew Glasscock, Bradley Glasscock, David Glasscock and Braden Hutchinson; and her siblings, Jane Wade, Peggy Whitfield, Carlton Wade and Donald Wade (Josie).
