She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Vernon Johnson and Virginia Lane Johnson; her husband Mark Gilbert Ashe; her daughter-in-law Dorthy Champion; her siblings, Shirley Cornell and Jack Wayne Johnson; and the father of her children Charles Raymond Champion.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Champion, Mike Champion (Tricia), Tony Champion (Kim), Sidney Champion (Shanna) and Jamie Lynn Brown (Rex Smith); her sisters, Sheila Faucette and Janice Hayes; and her friend Baby. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
