With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Kasell Groce (Goldsboro, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mary Kasell left this world on September 7, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Kasell and Lela Mitchell Kasell; her former husband Gordon McMillan, Jr.; and her siblings, Carl Kasell, Grace Newber, Jackie Kasell and Jerry Douglas Kasell.

She is survived by: her husband Dennis L. Groce; her daughter Sherry Hambright (Wesley Hambright); and her grandchildren, Dr. Parker Louin Hambright (Megan) and Sarah Kasell Hambright (Jared Daborowski).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wayne County Animal Shelter, 1600 Clingman Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
