She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smiles and Christiana Cubitt Smiles; and her husband Houston E. Talley. She is survived by: her sons, Stephen J. Talley of Goldsboro and William Talley (Carol Moss) of Goldsboro; and her sister Nancy Dalby of Canada. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
