It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Van Laws of Goldsboro, North Carolina, born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther and Alice Summerlin Laws; his sisters, Hilda Hile, Lola Mae Brock, Jean Wilt, Dorothy Laws and Carol Hopper; and his grandson Dalton Darden.
He is survived by: his children, James Luther Laws of Dudley, Darrell Laws of Goldsboro, Kandie Darden of Goldsboro and Krystal Cummings of Stantonsburg; and his brother Charles A. Fulghum. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
