It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Daly Shepard (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew Shepard; her parents, Bartemus Smith and Katie Bell Dixon Smith; her siblings, Kathleen S. Barwick, Josephine S. Holland, Clarence Smith and Relma "Smitty" Smith; and her great grandchild Crystal Grant.
She is survived by: her children, George E. Daly, Jr. (Joan), Julian Clyde Daly (Mary) and Linda Daly Powell (Johnny); her grandchildren, Sherwood Daly (Joann), Charlene Grant (Terry), Christy Keel (Rodney) and Brian Daly (Jessica); her brothers, Eugene Smith and William Smith; and her stepdaughters, Edna Johnson (Dean, family: Joyce Daugherty) and Debra Rhodes (David). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
