“Dr. Gagliano was a kind, gentle, and caring person. We are all bereft by his loss. Ever tactful and tender, he put music into our hearts, minds, and spirits as well as our ears. When last I saw him he told me he was learning to play the guitar because it would allow him to sing while he played, freeing him from the constraint of the violin under his chin. I never did hear him sing, but his violin music was a bit of heaven here on earth.”
