He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaiah Russell and Martha Russell; his wife Lillie Bell Reid Russell; his children, Rev. Ronald Hagans and Barbara Gail Russell; and his grandson Terrance Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Russell (Patricia) of Fredericksburg, VA and Malissa Russell Dawson (Sylvester); his daughter-in-law Judy Hagans of Goldsboro; his sister-in-law Lillie Mae Reid of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Decarlos "Andre" Russell, Megale Russell and Jeron Russell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and extended family.
