He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Raymond Vinson and Nell Hagan Vinson. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Vanderburg Vinson; his children, Leslie Vinson (Pam), Dorie Turnage (Ben) and Dave Vinson; his grandchildren, Blake Turnage Jones (Hunter), Daniel Vinson (Jasmine), Karley Midgett (Zach), McKenzie Turnage (Luke Rhoades), Connor Vinson (Jordan Godwin) and Hannah Vinson (Nick Baldwin); his great grandchildren, Graisyn Vinson, Wrenley Vinson, Caroline Midgett and Mallory Midgett; his sister Faye V. Lane (John); and his brother-in-law Dennis Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given to The First Church, 1100.
