He is survived by: his wife Sharon DeBruce Barnes; his children, Bernard Barnes, Steven Stewart (Moreal), Brianna Hinnant and Kenya DeBruce; and his siblings, Rodney Barnes, Lerone Barnes (Idell), Vernard Barnes and Rena Saunders (Donald). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
