He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Lee Edmundson and Mildred Ham Edmundson; his son Jonathan Mark Edmundson; and his brother Jerry Edmundson. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Daniels Edmundson; his children, Lee Edmundson (Dawn), Dana Edmundson Jones (Kerrick) and Jennifer Edmundson Miranda-Vega (Mario); his grandchildren, Austin Edmundson (Erika), Sydney Edmundson, Hayden Edmundson, McKenzie Scott, Landon Etheridge, Dakota Etheridge and Braden Etheridge; his sisters, Elizabeth Mooring and Joyce Hill; and his sister-in-law Pam Edmundson.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Free Chapel (3302 NC-111, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Eureka Cemetery.
