He is survived by: his wife Janice Carolyn Powell Pender; his stepson Michael Powell (Shannon) of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Michael Martinez (Brittney), Christopher Powell, Jonathon Powell and Miranda Medlyn (Jay); his great grandchildren, Tristan and Hayden; his stepdaughter Michelle Woodard (Woody) of Goldsboro; his nephew Raymond Pender; his cousin Hazel Smith of Goldsboro; his great-niece Lisa Yelverton Driver; and his pets, Tinkerbell, Pumpkin, Whiskers and Petey.
