He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Leroy Hartman, Sr. and Julia Ross Hartman. He is survived by: his wife Mattie Teachey Hartman; his daughters, Melody Hartman Shaffer (James) and Glenda Hartman Parks (Ken); and his grandsons, Jacob Wheeler and Adam Wheeler (Emily Siniavsky).
