He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Hartley and Louise Hartley; and his brother Larry Hartley. He is survived by: his son Scott Hartley; his grandchildren, Ryan Hartley and Jessica Hartley; his siblings, Jesse R. Hartley (Jennifer) of Goldsboro, Doris H. Peele (David) of Goldsboro and Kathy Tyner (Michael Turnage) of Goldsboro; his sister-in-law Amy H. Hartley of Goldsboro; and his friend PeeWee. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins he loved.
