We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2024, at the age of 89, Gilbert Wright Brown of Goldsboro, North Carolina, born in Fountain, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Mozingo Brown; his parents, Samuel Rufus Brown and Johnnie Smith Brown; and his brother Rufus Wilson Brown. He is survived by: his sons, Steve Wright Brown (Teresa) of Burnsville and Samuel Craig Brown (Angela) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Samuel Tyler Brown, Gessica Brown Garner (Stephen), Candice Nicole Brown Gray (Chad), Christopher Wright Brown (Carrie) and Hannah Victoria Brown; his stepgrandchildren, Bridgett Bryant and Baron Bryant (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Hudson Bradley Garner, Emma Garner, Beau Brown, Bishop Brown, Rowan Bryant, Aileen Brown and Wrenley Brown; his brother Elbert Brown; and his nephew Johnnie Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the memorial fund at First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
