He is survived by: his wife Cathy Harvell Nichols; his daughter Erica Lane of Goldsboro; his siblings, Gene Nicholes of New Port Virginia and Tammy Nichols (Lena Gandalfo) of New Port Virginia; and his grandchildren, Alaina Lane and Elliott Lane.
