With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Keith Benton (Goldsboro, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2024 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenwood Earl Benton and Gertha Ginn Benton. He is survived by: his children, Troy Tyson Benton (Holly) of New Hill and Lindsey Benton Gardner (Kevin) of Matthews; his grandchildren, Elaine, Harper, Adeline, Lincoln and Emerson; his siblings, Anna Benton McFalls (Russ) of Culpeper, VA, Dr. Kenneth Benton (Marilyn) of Dunn, NC and Michael Benton (Phyllis) of Danville, VA; his sweetheart Sydney Dupree; and also Jason. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church (604 E Ash St, Goldsboro, NC 27533). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to First Free Will Baptist Church, 604 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
