She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry Sauls and Lucille Gwaltney Sauls; her husband Manfred Jennings Hood; and her siblings, Carol Sauls Evans, Joyce Sauls Benton and Melvin Sauls.
She is survived by: her children, Manfred J. Hood, Jr. (Gail), Doug Hood (Carol), Brad Hood (Elizabeth) and Lou Braithwaite (Gavin); and her half-sister Sandra Sauls Pridges. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Selah Christian Church (1332 Selah Church Rd, Four Oaks, NC 27524). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
