We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2023, at the age of 89, Charles Irvin Pope (Goldsboro, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Waverly Pope and Didie Bass Pope; his wife Shirley Forehand Pope; and his siblings, Alice Evans, Mildred Bass, Gray Lamm, Geraldine Lamm, Pauline Raper, Glennie Rowland and Glenn Pope.
He is survived by: his children, Patsy Pope Mozingo and Gaylon Pope; his grandsons, Brandon Massey (Crystal) and Jonathan Holland (Bethany); and his sister Shelby Lynch (Mitchell). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and special friends he loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Folds of Honor Foundation, Department 13, Tulsa, OK 74182.
